The Tale Of Ossa Ahmad, The Carpenter
2018 / 1397
Ossa Ahmad is known to all the inhabitants of the semi-mountainous, semi-forested village of Mazandaran. He, in the past, has shaped and constructed the doors, windows, and ceilings of the neighboring houses and villages with his own hands. He is a nimble man with a slender frame, weathered by time but still engaged in the trades of carpentry and construction. Ossa Ahmad owns a plot of land for sugarcane cultivation and has a daughter afflicted with kidney disease. He is now concerned for both the health of his thirty-two-year-old daughter and the fate of his own home, which, like other handcrafted houses in the village, is at risk of collapse from mice and termites.
