A place of gradual decline
Nearly 40 years ago, when I went to the Kahrizak nursing home for the elderly, I never imagined that I would encounter such a place of gradual decline. I stayed with them for 24 hours, and these photos were the result. They were exhibited once during those years at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tehran, Iran, and never again.
نزدیک به ۴۰ سال پیش وقتی رفتم آسایشگاه پیران کهریز تصورش را هم نمی کردم که با چنین آرام-فرسایشگاه مواجه شوم. بیست و چهار ساعت کنارشان ماندم و شد این عکس ها. یک بار همان سال ها در موزه هنر های معاصر ایران در تهران به نمایش در آمدند و دیگر هیچ.
